English Summary:

A brand new, unique visual and sound experience has been brought into the range of Hungarian and foreign dance theatres by the Sunlegend theatre dance production.
Sunlegend is a fresh, creative dance show with unique means of art reflecting 21st century's demands, representing the cult of the Sun, its role in our lives, and the connection between its orbit and the way it affects human life.

The choreographer, Gábor Mihályi has allied and staged the most dynamic and whirling motifs of Hungarian folk dance with the contribution of the Prima Primissima
audience prize winner Hungarian State Folk Ensemble. His work has been honored with “Creator of the Year” ,-award in 2000 founded by the Association of Hungarian Dance Artists.

The composer of this production, Nikola Parov has been playing worldwide as a soloist of the Riverdance Orchestra. By composing the soundtrack of Sunlegend,
he has created a new, original musical world, where the sounds of saxophone, drums, brass and violin form perfect harmony. This composition is a fascinating mixture of dynamics, tradition and mysticism created in folk and world music style.

Recordings were taken with the collaboration of the Palace of the Art Studio on 4th of November 2007.

A Naplegenda Táncprodukció hét éve járja a hazai és külföldi színházakat és szabadtéri színpadokat. Az alkotók új, egyedi minőségű látvány- és hangzásvilággal ötvözik a táncszínházi előadást. A Tom-Tom Records hasonló igényességgel látott hozzá a darab megörökítéséhez.

A felvétel 2007 őszén készült a Művészetek Palotájában. Az előadás a Napnak az ember életében betöltött szerepét jeleníti meg energikus, magával ragadó, egyben misztikus, és bensőséges képekben. A táncelőadás az emberi kultúra önkifejezése is egyben, amely tánc, mozgás, zene és ének egységében forr dinamikus előadássá, magával ragadva az előadás, egyben a DVD nézőit.
A koreográfia a nap kultusza köré fonódva az emberi lét minden történését felöleli: a szerelmet, a férfi és nő harcát, a kitartást, szenvedélyeken és belső vívódásokon keresztül, a haragtól a megbocsátásig.
2008 áprilisától Mihályi Gábor, koreográfus és Nikola Parov, zenész-zeneszerző munkája gyönyörű mozgóképekben és 5.1-es hangminőségben is élvezhető, most már otthon is.
A kiadvány extrái között a táncprodukció záró száma, a Repülj madár, repülj című dalra készült klip, illetve fotóalbum található.
