Biblia Bilingvă Română-Engleză – Prefaţă

       Biblia sau Sfânta Scriptură este cea mai citită carte din istoria omenirii. Indiferent de limba în care este scrisă, mesajul este acelasi: mântuirea omului o realizează numai Dumnezeu.

       Dorinţa noastră este să vă încurajăm să citiţi Biblia. Cartea aceasta nu este o carte ca şi celelalte cărţi. Iată ce spunea Martin Luther despre ea: ”Biblia nu este învechită, nici modernă, ci eternă”. Mesajul ei a străbătut secolele, iar sursa inspiraţiei ei este Dumnezeul cel Veşnic (2 Timotei 3:16).

       Scopul acestei noi forme a Bibliei este acela de a veni în ajutorul tuturor fraţilor şi surorilor din bisericile române din USA, Canada şi nu numai. Bisericile din diaspora sunt formate, în ansamblu, din două generaţii: generaţia părinţilor care au venit în mare parte din România, şi generaţia tinerilor care s-au născut aici.

       De obicei, generaţia tânără din diaspora română din USA şi Canada foloseşte limba engleză, iar serviciile divine din biserică sunt în limba română. În calitate de tată şi totodată de slujitor al Evangheliei, am văzut marea nevoie a tinerilor de a înţelege Cuvântul lui Dumnezeu în limba română, pentru a putea participa în mod eficient la închinarea şi creşterea spirituală a bisericii. Astfel a luat fiinţă sub egida Romanian Bible Society, proectul Biblia Bilingvă Română-Engleză. În urmă cu doi ani am publicat doar Noul Testament cu Psalmii, iar acum reuşim să tiparim întreaga Biblie.

       Această ediţie a Bibliei bilingve se vrea a fi un ajutor atât pentru păriţi, cât şi pentru tineri, punând în paralel acelaşi mesaj al lui Dumnezeu, în cele două limbi, română şi engleză. Pentru Biblia în limba română am folosit traducerea D. Cornilescu, iar pentru limba engleză, New King James, acestea fiind cele mai apropiate una de cealaltă.
Multumim lui Dumnezeu pentru ajutorul şi călăuzirea Sa.

Fie ca binecuvântarea şi înţelepciunea pe care le dau Scripturile să însufleţească pe orice cititor.

Romanian-English Bilingual Bible - Preface

The Bible or Holy Scripture is the most read book in human history. Regardless of the language in which it is written, the message is the same: the salvation of man is achieved only by God.

Our desire is to encourage you to read the Bible. This book is not a book like other books. This is what Martin Luther said about it: "The Bible is not outdated, nor modern, but eternal". Her message has crossed the centuries, and the source of her inspiration is the Eternal God (2 Timothy 3:16).

The purpose of this new form of the Bible is to come to the aid of all the brothers and sisters in the Romanian churches in the USA, Canada and beyond. The churches in the diaspora are formed, as a whole, of two generations: the generation of parents who came mostly from Romania, and the generation of young people who were born here.

Usually, the young generation from the Romanian diaspora in the USA and Canada uses English, and the divine services in the church are in Romanian. As a father and at the same time a minister of the Gospel, I saw the great need of young people to understand the Word of God in Romanian, in order to be able to participate effectively in the worship and spiritual growth of the church. Thus, under the auspices of the Romanian Bible Society, the Biblia Bilingua Romanian-English project was created. Two years ago we published only the New Testament with Psalms, and now we manage to print the entire Bible.

This edition of the bilingual Bible is intended to be a help both for parents and for young people, putting the same message of God in parallel, in the two languages, Romanian and English. For the Bible in Romanian I used the D. Cornilescu translation, and for the English language, the New King James, these being the closest to each other.
