Overview

Schola Cantorum 10 is a curated selection of vocal gems from the 13th to the 17th centuries, part of the widely respected 13-volume series by Editio Musica Budapest. Edited by the polymath poet and musician Ákos Fodor, this volume serves as a bridge between high-level musicology and active music-making.

The collection includes a diverse range of forms, from liturgical motets and chorales to secular chansons and dance melodies. To ensure stylistic accuracy and vocal authenticity, all works are printed in their original languages, including Latin, English, German, French, and Italian. This volume is particularly strong in its representation of the Ars Nova and early Renaissance masters.

Schola Cantorum 10 (Hungarian)

Schola Cantorum 10. füzete a XIII-XVI. századi zeneszerzők két- és háromszólamú műveit tartalmazza. A sorozatot Fodor Ákos szerkesztette azzal a céllal, hogy a régi korok „nemes zenéjét” könnyen hozzáférhetővé tegye a mai énekkarok és zeneiskolák számára. A kötet különlegessége a francia Ars Nova mestere, Guillaume de Machaut, valamint a reneszánsz polifónia fejedelme, Palestrina szerepeltetése. A szövegek kizárólag eredeti nyelven olvashatóak, megőrizve a darabok autentikus hangzását.

Érdekességek

  • Szakmai hitelesség: Fodor Ákos válogatása egyaránt tartalmaz világhírű mestereket és máig ismeretlen nevű szerzők gyöngyszemeit.
  • Formátum: A 19 x 16,5 cm-es fekvő (quer) formátum praktikus használatot tesz lehetővé a próbák során.
  • Változatosság: A liturgikus motetták mellett helyet kaptak benne világi chansonok és vidám angol karácsonyi énekek is.
