a vigorous talent, is its illustrator. He aimed not only at making the biblical text alive, but also to express through images the interpretations of the Midrach and the Talmud.

When it has seemed necessary, two short explanatory notes was added to the work. ‘Thus, the themes evoked can be clearly felt.

The English translation of the Magillath Ruth is the work of the Rev. Dr. David de
Sola Pool, founder and honorary president of the Union of Sephardic Congregations.

96 pages with 40 illustrations and 2 horstext fully coloured. 

The Book of Ruth is included in the third division, or the Writings, of the Hebrew Bible; in most Christian canons it is treated as a history book and placed between Judges and 1 Samuel.
