Diese Übersetzung ist neben der Eberfelder (für eine wortgetreue Bibelexegese) meine Hauptübersetzung. Ich benutze sie, um ein Allgemeinverständnis des Textes zu bekommen. Hilfreich sind hierfür die Anmerkungen an der Seite, die altertümliche oder - ich nenns mal- christliches Vokabluar erklären. Bei Andachten (ich bin in der christlichen Jugendarbeit tätig) nehm ich diese Übersetzung, wenn ich einen Bibelauszug vorlese. Der Text ist leicht verständlich und verfängt sich nicht in zu langen Ausführungen und geht mit manchen Formulierungen nicht so salopp um wie z.B. die Hoffnung für alle.

English description

This translation is, along with the Eberfelder one (for literal Bible exegesis), my main translation. I use them to get a general understanding of the text. The notes on the side that explain ancient or - I would call it - Christian vocabulary are helpful. During devotions (I work in Christian youth work) I use this translation when I read an excerpt from the Bible. The text is easy to understand and does not get caught up in overly long explanations and does not handle some formulations as casually as, for example, hope for all.

Finally complete: the Basic Bible is the Bible for the 21st century! Now in the “comfortable” edition!
No Bible is as easy to read and understand as the Basic Bible, which is available for the first time with the complete Old and New Testaments. In this comfortable edition, the text is set like a poem.
