Borongós-kedves megannyi verse közül önkényesen választottam ki a kötetben megjelenőket, soha nem a vers hossza, mindig a benne lévő gondolatok voltak irányadók. Szándékosan nem az Anna-versek egyikét választottam címnek, hanem annak a versnek címét, amely – és ez saját, nagyon elfogult véleményem – legjobban tükrözi Juhász vélekedését a környező világról.

English Description:

The lyric poetry of Juhász is unparalleled, in spite of this it has harmonically comforted to the works of the contemporary lyrists. Out of his many melancholic-handsome poems I selected (on a strictly arbitrary manner) those published in this volume; never the length of a poem, but rather the thoughts involved in it were my guide. As title of the volume I deliberately did not choose one of the Ann-poems, but the poem’s title that – and this is my highly one-sided opinion – reflects most closely the judgement of Juhász about the surrounding world.

About the Author:

Gyula Juhász (4 April 1883, Szeged – 6 April 1937, Szeged) was a Hungarian poet, who was awarded the Baumgarten Prize.

His first poems were published in Szegedi Napló in 1899. Between 1902 and 1906 he was a student of the University of Budapest, where he met Mihály Babits and Dezső Kosztolányi.

Juhász Gyula (Szeged, 1883. április 4. – Szeged, 1937. április 6.) magyar költő. A 20. század első felében Magyarország egyik legelismertebb költője, József Attila előtt a magyarság sorsának egyik legjelentősebb magyar lírai kifejezője.
