BEGINNING OF THE WORD

This book is a translation into Uzbek of scriptures that have been recognized as sacred for more than two thousand years. The first complete translation of these writings into Uzbek was published in 2016 as part of the Holy Bible. The book in your hand consists of the New Testament scriptures of the Holy Bible. The New Testament is also called "Bible" in Uzbek. You can read the complete edition of Mukaddas Kitab with comments, glossary, maps and instructions for readers on the website "www.bibles.uz". You can use the electronic resources on this site by copying them to devices such as computers and mobile phones.

Tulik Mukaddas Kitab consists of 66 mukaddas texts, which are referred to as "books". For this reason, the Holy Book is called "Bible" in many languages. The name is Greek and means "rolling papers", i.e. "books".
Muqaddas Kitab is divided into two parts, called "Old Testament" and "New Testament". The books written before the time when Jesus Christ lived are called "Old Testament", and the books written after Jesus lived are called "New Testament". The edition in your hands includes all the books of the New Testament, that is, 27 books.

The truth revealed by God in the New Testament does not invalidate the truth in the Old Testament. Rather, the truth of the Old Testament serves as the basis for the truth of the New Testament. The New Testament, in turn, complements the ideas of the Old Testament. Jesus Christ knew the Old Testament perfectly, therefore, when he taught people, he made many quotations from the Old Testament. Jesus said: "Do not think that I came to destroy the Torah or the writings of the prophets. I did not come to destroy, but to fulfill" (Matthew 5:17). The authors of the New Testament also used the Old Testament a lot in their books, sometimes quoting from it, and sometimes writing the sentences in it in their own words.

• Letters (twenty-one books)

• A book in the apocalyptic genre (one book)

Although most of the events described in the sacred writings took place in western Asia, its priceless wisdom spread throughout the world and enriched the culture of many peoples. The Holy Scriptures are one of the most translated books in human history and are considered a classic heritage of world culture. Over the centuries, people of faith considered these books to be holy writings sent by God. When the people who read the scriptures understood the truth, regardless of the time they lived in, they were aware of the power and authority of these scriptures.
