Filmed in front of a stadium-sized crowd with full stage production designed by Csikós Attila, pyrotechnics by Hábetler Ferenc (MAFILM Szcenika), and technical direction by Frenreisz Károly (Omega Trading Kft.). DVD post-production at P Stúdió and Megamultimedia Kft. Cover authenticated with original handwritten autographs from members of the Illés band.
Overview
June 2, 2001. The Népstadion in Budapest. For one historic night, the three bands that defined Hungarian rock music — Illés, Metro and Omega — shared the same stage. They had not all played together since the 1960s and 1970s. Each band got its own concert, its own DVD, its own moment in the spotlight. This is the Illés volume.
The lineup on stage that night was the original lineup. Bródy János on guitar, recorder, keyboards and vocals — Hungary's most celebrated lyricist. Illés Lajos at the keyboards, the band's founder. Pásztory "Zorro" Tamás on drums. Szörényi Levente on guitar and vocals — the band's lead singer and a future composer of István, a király. Szörényi Szabolcs on bass and vocals. Five men who, between 1957 and 1973, taught Hungarian rock how to sing in its own language.
Fifteen songs across the disc. "Ne gondold". "Légy jó kicsit hozzám". "Az ész a fontos, nem a haj" — Hungary's most famous song about hippie hair and conformity, written when growing your hair out was an act of cultural rebellion. "Amikor én még kissrác voltam". "Good Bye London". A closing Finálé Medley that brings the night together.
This signed copy carries multiple original autographs from the band. Illés Lajos passed away in 2007. Pásztory Tamás in 2018. A complete-band signed copy of this disc cannot be created again.

A színpadi felállás aznap este az eredeti felállás volt. Bródy János gitáron, furulyán, billentyűkön és énekben — Magyarország legünnepeltebb dalszövegírója. Illés Lajos a billentyűknél, a zenekar alapítója. Pásztory „Zorro" Tamás a dobok mögött. Szörényi Levente gitáron és énekben — a zenekar énekese és az István, a király későbbi szerzője. Az Illés együttes was the leading band of the Hungarian beat era of the 1960s, considered the most influential of the so-called "great three" — Illés, Metro, Omega — that defined Hungarian rock music. Founded by Illés Lajos in 1957 and reaching their classic lineup by the mid-1960s, the band was the first major Hungarian rock act to insist on singing exclusively in Hungarian at a time when Western-language imitation was the path to mainstream acceptance. Their lyrics, mostly penned by Bródy János, dealt with real social and political concerns of Hungarian youth — leading to multiple bans from Hungarian state television and radio during the socialist era. The Népstadion (now Puskás Aréna) reunion on June 2, 2001 was one of the most anticipated rock events in modern Hungarian history; it sold out the stadium and was simultaneously broadcast by national media. After the concert, Szörényi Levente continued his solo career and composed many of Hungary's most important rock operas including István, a király (1983) with Bródy. The track "Az ész a fontos, nem a haj" ("It's the Brain That Matters, Not the Hair") was a direct response to socialist-era harassment of long-haired youth and became an anthem of Hungarian counterculture. The "Little Richard" performance closing the main set is a tribute to the American rock 'n' roll pioneer whose music profoundly influenced the early Illés sound. Technical director credit on the DVD goes to Frenreisz Károly — himself a founding member of Metro and later LGT, demonstrating how interconnected the Hungarian rock community remained even decades later.

Az Illés együttes az 1960-as évek magyar beat-korszakának vezető zenekara volt, az úgynevezett „nagy hármas" — Illés, Metro, Omega — legbefolyásosabbjának tartják, amely meghatározta a magyar rockzenét. 1957-ben alapította Illés Lajos, és az 1960-as évek közepére érte el klasszikus felállását. A zenekar volt az első jelentős magyar rockformáció, amely ragaszkodott ahhoz, hogy kizárólag magyarul énekeljen, abban a korszakban, amikor a nyugati nyelven történő utánzás volt az út a mainstream elfogadás felé.
