Drasticly shifting away from standard radio rock, legendary drummer Jon Hiseman formed this incredible line-up featuring guitar icon Gary Moore and keyboard wizard Don Airey. This expanded release preserves the definitive 1976 album mix with beautiful remastering work done directly from original masters tapes.
The first disc delivers the core album alongside rare 1975 studio demo sessions recorded at Roundhouse Studios featuring Mike Starrs on vocals. The second disc adds a heavy dose of unreleased 1976 studio session tracks showcasing the instrumental evolution of the band when John Mole took over bass guitar duties. - Drummer Jon Hiseman famously recalled that he felt his previous band Tempest ended because the time for that music had gone, later joking that Colosseum II actually formed five years too late.
