Az Újszövetség esetében az a görög szöveg volt a forrás, amely a United Bible Societies által kiadott Greek New Testament 1993-as 4. revideált kiadásában, illetve a Nestle-Aland-féle Novum Testamentum Graece 1993-as 27. kiadásában található. Egyes esetekben - ha bibliakutatók újabb eredményei ezt indokolttá tették - eltér a fenti szövegektől, s erre a jegyzetekben utalnak is.
E Biblia fordítói igyekeztek egyszerű és természetes formába önteni az eredeti héber, illetve görög szöveg értelmét, hogy könnyen érthető legyen, és ne akadályozza, hanem segítse az olvasót a Biblia igazságának megértésében.

This translation is based on the original languages of the Bible. In the case of the Old Testament, it basically follows the Hebrew Massoretic text found in the latest 1984 edition of the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia. In some places it refers to parts of the Dead Sea Scrolls or the Septuagint (LXX), which were created earlier than the Masoretic texts we know today.

In the case of the New Testament, the source was the Greek text found in the 4th revised edition of the Greek New Testament published by the United Bible Societies in 1993, and in the 27th edition of Nestle-Aland's Novum Testamentum Graece in 1993. In some cases - if recent results of Bible researchers have justified this - it differs from the above texts, and this is also indicated in the notes.
The translators of this Bible tried to put the meaning of the original Hebrew and Greek text into a simple and natural form, so that it is easy to understand and does not hinder, but rather helps the reader in understanding the truth of the Bible.
