About the Photographer / 摄影师简介

English:
Chen Haiwen, born in 1958 in Shanghai, began with a humble background and a passion for photography. Overcoming financial hardship, he eventually founded his own design and photography company. As Vice-Chairman of the Shanghai Photographers’ Association, he has published numerous photographic albums highlighting urban life and cultural change. His inspiration for this project came from a realization that comprehensive, well-illustrated works about Chinese ethnic minorities were lacking from Chinese authors.

陈海文，1958年生于上海贫困家庭。早年在工厂工作，收入微薄，却坚持摄影梦想。1990年代创办自己的摄影设计公司，现任上海摄影家协会副主席，出版多部记录上海城市生活与中国变革的摄影集。本书的灵感源于央视主持人白岩松提及：“在日本看到几本讲述中国少数民族的精美图书，却没有一本是中国人自己拍的。” 陈海文认为，“记录是摄影师的责任”，因此他用镜头记录中华民族大家庭的真实面貌。
