About the artist: Boris Edunov was born in Vyksa, Nizhny Novgorod region. He graduated from the sculpture department of the Institute. Repin (workshop of V. V. Lishev). Member of the Great Patriotic War.
He created works in different genres, author of 16 monuments erected in different cities of the USSR. Among them: a monument to General of the Army ID Chernyakhovsky in the city of Chernyakhovsk, military memorials in Dushanbe, Aleksandrovsk, "Earthmen-astronauts" and "Mother Russia" in Kaliningrad.

The author of the monumental monuments of FN Petrov on Strastnoy Boulevard in Moscow (1977, architect MD Nasekin), MI Kalinin at the Southern Station of Kaliningrad (1959).
He created many portraits of contemporaries in marble and bronze: M. Isakovsky, V. Kochetov, P. Vasilyev, V. Vereshchagin, F. Chuyev, R. Ivnev, N. Tsitsin, A. Ognivtsev, Yu. Gagarin, V. Shatilov, G. Samoilovich, G. Holostyakov, as well as N. Ostrovsky, K. Timiryazev, E. Telman, Karl Marx.
He also performed works on military subjects in the genre of small sculptural forms, depicting the everyday routine.
Won a competition for the Victory Monument for Poklonnaya Hill, but was not allowed to implement the project.
