Academy Award and Golden Globe recipient Judy Garland was and still is a super star of her time. She was the consummate performer. Starring in over 40 films, Judy Garland had no limits to her singing and acting talents that included radio, theatre, television, and film. She also starred in her own television series "The Judy Garland Show." In honoring the 35th anniversary of the series and the 30th anniversary of her passing, Pioneer Entertainment is proud to present "The Judy Garland Show" on DVD. In these first two episodes which originally aired between 1963 through 1964, Judy welcomes guests Liza Minelli, Mickey Rooney, Soupy Sales and regular guest Jerry Van Dyke.

Liza Minnelli & Mickey Rooney were among the first guests to appear on Judy Garland's multi-million dollar 1963-64 variety series for CBS. Rooney's appearance was on Show #1: Songs like How About You?, You're So Right For Me - and a sketch that spoofs their Hey, Gang, Let's Put On A Show musicals – prove the pair still had the old MGM chemistry. Judy's solos include When The Sun Comes Out, Who Cares?, and the electrifying Old Man River, which is a defining moment of both Garland's 45-year career and of television history.
Judy worked with Liza "officially" for the first time on Show #3. Fresh from her triumphant off-Broadway debut in Best Foot Forward, 17-year old Minnelli already displays talent that would earn her an Oscar and 3 Tony Awards, during both her solo work and in duets with "mama," including Together, The Best Is Yet To Come, and their Two Lost Souls number (which revived Judy's famous "tramp" character). Solos which again showcase Garland at the peak of her powers, include the astonishing Come Rain Or Come Shine, and the heartbreaking As Long As He Needs Me.
