Six old English-built organs are played by Daniel Moult and Kimberly Marshall. John Mander, Dominic Gwynn, and Kimberly Marshall discuss early English organ music.

Moult and producer Will Fraser visit places where older English organs survive in England and in northern France where Robert Dallam and his son, Thomas Dallam, built organs existing since 1653 and 1680.

The precious and large organ from 1680 or 1693 at Adlington Hall, attributed to Bernard Smith and played by Handel (E. Power Biggs recorded Handel concertos here), is visited and John Mander discusses it.

The most recent organ is the 3m Bishop & Son organ from 1829. As an aid to the English organist who could not play the Pedals, a manual keyboard is provided upon which a musician could play the Pedal division. Its demonstration is worth the price of this set.
