Overview
On 7th June 1969, four already-famous musicians walked onto a stage in Hyde Park in front of roughly 100,000 people and played their first-ever concert together. This DVD captures that debut — the only live Blind Faith DVD available.
The band was Eric Clapton, fresh out of Cream, on guitar; Steve Winwood on vocals and keyboards; Ginger Baker on drums; and Rick Grech on bass. Expectations were enormous, and for decades the full concert was never seen. This release finally puts it in front of the audience it was always meant for.
The set runs a little over 40 minutes but covers the essential material, with a handful of period promo films and a photo gallery rounding out the disc. Shot in a mix of colour and black & white, it's a genuine document of a band that burned bright and briefly — together for one album and one short summer.
For collectors of late-60s British rock, this is the closest thing to standing in that crowd.
