The DVD versions of the opera performances of the Ring of the Nibelung tetralogy recorded at the highly acclaimed 2019 Budapest Wagner Days festival have been completed. After a year's hiatus, these emblematic productions directed by Hartmut Schörghofer returned in an updated version featuring such international stars as Johan Reuter, Albert Pesendorfer, Stuart Skelton, Catherine Foster, Stefan Vinke, Gerhard Siegel and Lauri Vasar. The DVDs were created incorporating the new multiple award-winning image of the Budapest Wagner Days festival. The four parts of the Ring cycle – Das Rheingold, Die Walküre, Siegfried and Götterdämmerung.
As with previous recordings made from Müpa Budapest's Wagner series, these CDs also contain a code allowing members of the Müpa+ membership programme to access a HD-quality online version of the purchased video as well. The German-language recording can be watched with your choice of Hungarian, English or German subtitles.
