A kézikönyv új utat kíván mutatni egy felekezetközi teológiai apologetika irányába, amelynek fókusza a keresztény egyház tagjainak, valamint a keresőknek a védelmére, illetve a könyvben ismertetett irányzatok tagjainak evangelizációjára irányul. Az új megközelítés alapja az egyház ókori tanításának és lelkiségének újrafelfedezése, a keresztény hit lényegét megfogalmazó apostoli és patrisztikus hagyománynak a mai napig tartó folyamatossága, és ennek mint írásértelmezési vezérfonalnak a jelentősége az alapvető hitbeli témákban. A kézikönyv ezért a hamis tanok örök problémájának kezelésére a tipikus protestáns hitvédelmi művek bibliai reflexióin túl a hermeneutikát és a patrisztikát is bevonja. Ezzel pedig nemcsak az „eretnek” rendszerekkel szemben, hanem egyes protestáns lelkiségi irányzatok számára is pozitív inspirációt tud nyújtani.

The main topic of this handbook is the protection of faith against the thoughts of religious beliefs that consider themselves to be true Christianity, while denying the universal creeds of Christianity, the theological common denominator of Catholic, Orthodox and Protestant churches. The Handbook aims to show a new path to interfaith theological apologetics, which focuses on the protection of members of the Christian Church, as well as on the evangelization of the members of the book. The new approach is based on the rediscovery of the ancient doctrine and spirituality of the Church, the continuity of the apostolic and patristic tradition of the essence of Christian faith to this day, and the importance of this as a literary guideline on fundamental religious topics. The Handbook therefore covers the hermeneutics and patristics beyond the biblical reflections of typical Protestant religious works to address the eternal problem of false doctrines. With this, it can offer positive inspiration not only for "heretic" systems, but also for certain Protestant spiritual trends.
