The Első Magyar Rhythm and Blues Zenekar — the country's first R&B band, formed in 1966 — reunited decades later for a one-night-only reunion captured here in full. This signed copy carries authentic autographs from band members across the front cover, marking it as something well beyond a regular reissue.

The disc is split into two halves. First, a documentary tracing the band's path from the underground beat clubs of 1960s Budapest through the long quiet years and back to the stage. Then the Beat Randevú concert itself, recorded at the MOM Kulturális Központ in 2009 with the surviving lineup playing together again — Kelemen András, Homonnay Zsombor, Szendrődi Zsolt, Tury Árpi, Pataky László, Hanka Péter and Káloczi Egon.

Zoltán János hosts the evening. Sound was handled by veteran engineers Tar György and Nemes "Fater" László, so the recording sounds the way these songs deserve — warm, live, and unfiltered. Interesting Facts

The Első Magyar Rhythm and Blues Zenekar holds a unique place in Hungarian music history as the country's earliest band to consciously play rhythm and blues, founded in 1966 during the height of the Iron Curtain era when Western rock and R&B records were notoriously difficult to obtain. The band took its inspiration from British R&B acts like The Rolling Stones, The Animals and The Yardbirds, translating that sound into a uniquely Hungarian context.

The Beat Randevú concert series became a celebrated reunion event in Budapest, bringing together the surviving giants of the Nagy Generáció (Great Generation) of Hungarian beat musicians. The MOM Kulturális Központ, where this concert was recorded, has long served as one of Budapest's most important cultural venues for preserving Hungarian musical heritage.

Signed copies of this DVD are exceptionally hard to come by — the band members were never widely available for autograph sessions, and most signed copies were distributed at the original reunion concerts or through the Liversing Baráti Kör (Liversing Fan Circle).
