The protagonist of the story is Gyurka, the curious little monkey, whose adventures begin when, one fine day, while playing in the primeval forest, he notices a man in a yellow hat, who takes him with him to a big, big city. Gyurka Kíváncsi gets involved in a series of fun adventures on the way and in the big city, and finally reaches the zoo with the help of his friend in the yellow hat. Here, at least until the beginning of the second story, he finds a home.
A little monkey named Gyurka is playing in the jungle when he notices a man in a yellow hat who takes him home to the City (located somewhere in the United States). Gyurka gets involved in a series of fun adventures along the way and in the big city, and finally, with the help of his new friend, he gets to the zoo, where he finds a new home (at least until the second book).
