About the Author:

Sipos Ete Álmos, dr. (Budapest, 1937 - September 7, 2015) Reformed Pastor. Born in Budapest. His father, István Sipos, was a pastor. His four brothers also came to a pastoral career. Eleven children were raised with his wife, four of whom were Sipos Ete Zoltán, Sipos Aba Álmos, Sipos Ajtony Levente and Sipos Alpár Szabolcs, who also completed reformed theology. He graduated from high school in Sárospatak and Kisújszállás. He graduated from the Budapest Reformed Theology in 1961. In 2007 he earned a PhD from the Theological Faculty of the University of Utrecht from the field of Mystic Sciences. Died on September 7, 2015.

„Ez a disszertáció fontos támpont lehet a mai Magyarországi Református Egyház számára annak megértésében, hogy mit is jelent missziói gyülekezetnek lenni manapság, a népegyházi struktúrából a posztkeresztyénség korába való átmenet idején. Forgács Gyula (1879–1941) péceli lelkipásztor a missziót a gyülekezet feladatává tette, és megkísérelt hitvalló egyházat létrehozni a népegyházi struktúrákon belül. Péceli gyülekezetépítő programjának célja egy mintagyülekezet létrehozásán keresztül az egyházi élet megreformálása volt. Mindehhez felhasználta a Skóciából, Hollandiából, Németországból gyűjtött tapasztalatokat, és ezeket megpróbálta a helyi magyar körülményeket is figyelembe véve alkalmazni. A mű világosan hangsúlyozza, hogy az egyház reformálására irányuló munka legfontosabb pillérjei a teológiai megalapozottság és a missziói lelkiség. English Summary:

What does it mean to be a missionary assembly nowadays, from the time of the transition to the post-Christian age from the structure of the folk church. Gyula Forgács (1879–1941), a pastor at Pécel, made the mission a task for the congregation and attempted to establish a creed within the structures of the folk church. The book clearly emphasizes that the most important pillars to reform the Church are the theological soundness and the missionary spirit. Nowadays, when business models and management-mindedness impact on the area of our ecclesiastical discipline, or when certain events are determined by the material in our churches, this dissertation can be an important corrective and sufficient work.
