These players are the best of the jazz-rock fusion breed that Miles encouraged, inspired, and
unleashed on the world of music in the late ‘60’s and early ‘70’s: John McLaughlin, Larry Coryell,
Stanley Clarke, and George Benson, along with the Spanish master Paco de Lucia. Miles’s originals
and other great jazz numbers — including the classics “All Blues; “So What; “In A Silent Way,’ and
“Eighty One” — get innovative treatment here.

Clarke and Coryell serve up a mind-blowing duet on Clarke's famous “School Days.’ And singer
Rickie Lee Jones turns in a riveting vocal on “Dat Dere.’

The evening ends with a jam among giants — beautiful, competitive, collaborative, and never to be
repeated, fitting tribute to the master himself, Miles Davis.
