English Summary:

Fetih 1453 (English: The Conquest 1453) is a 2012 Turkish epic action film directed by Faruk Aksoy and produced by Faruk Aksoy, Servet Aksoy and Ayşe Germen. Starring Devrim Evin, İbrahim Çelikkol and Dilek Serbest, the film is based on fictionalized events surrounding the Conquest of Constantinople (now Istanbul) to the Ottoman Turks during the reign of Sultan Mehmed II.

The film was released on 15 February 2012 at 14:53 local time. It sold 1.4 million tickets on its first weekend and 2.23 million tickets in its first week of release. In 18 days, it surpassed Recep İvedik 2 to become the most watched film ever in Turkey. As of 13 May 2012, it has sold 6,468,777 tickets in Turkish cinemas.

Yönetmenliğini ve yapımcılığını Faruk Aksoy'un üstlendiği filmin senaryosu Atilla Engin tarafından yazılmış ve Erkan Özekan tarafından kurgulanmıştır. Filmin başrollerindeyse Devrim Evin, İbrahim Çelikkol ve Dilek Serbest yer almaktadır.[5] Filmin görsel yönetmenliğini ise birçok Hollywood yapımında çalışmış olan[6] Serkan Zelzele üstlenmiştir.

18.200.000$'lık bütçesiyle[2] en pahalı Türk filmi olma özelliğini taşıyan[8] filmin yapımcı şirketi Aksoy Film; Türkiye dağıtıcısı Tiglon, Avrupa dağıtıcısı Kinostar, ABD dağıtıcısı ise NeoClassics Films'dir. Müziklerini Benjamin Wallfisch'in bestelediği[11] filmin tarihî gerçeklere uyması için Feridun Emecen, Hülya Tezcan, Massimo Farinelli, Gülgün Köroğlu ve Adem Saraç senaryo ekibine tarih danışmanlığı yapmışlardır.

Sosyal medyada filmin üç dakikalık fragmanı 24 saatte 1.670.000 kişi tarafından izlenmiştir. 16 Şubat 2012'de saat 14:53'ten itibaren[14] 450 kopya ile 900 salondagösterimine başlanan film ilk gününde 300.000 biletli seyirci tarafından izlenmiştir.[16] Üç hafta sonra ise Türkiye'de tüm zamanların en çok izlenen filmi olmuştur.[17] Ayrıca Türkiye'de 5.000.000 ve 6.000.000 seyirci barajını geçen ilk film olmuştur. Yapımın Avrupa gösteriminde de ilk haftasonu 255.000 seyirciye ulaşılmış ve tüm zamanların haftasonu açılış rekoru kırılmıştır.[19] 27 Mart 2012 itibarıyla film 32.581.263$ hasılat elde etmiştir.

Yapım Türkiye'nin yanı sıra Almanya, Hollanda, Belçika, Avusturya, Fransa, İngiltere, İsviçre, KKTC, Endonezya, Malezya, Rusya, Arnavutluk, Bosna-Hersek, Sırbistan, Makedonya, Kosova, Romanya, Yunanistan, Güney Kore, Tayland, Japonya, Amerika ve başta Mısır olmak üzere pek çok Orta Doğu ülkesinde de gösterime girmiştir.
