Overview
Cream were rock's first true supergroup, and this deluxe Classic Artists set tells their full, authorised story with the cooperation of all three members. Across roughly 200 minutes of documentary and extras, Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce recount how the band came together in 1966, how hits like "I Feel Free," "Sunshine of Your Love" and "White Room" made them famous, and how it all combusted by 1968 — followed by the historic 2005 reunion shows in London and New York that reignited interest in the trio.
The DVD is packed: previously unreleased archive footage, exclusive new interviews filmed in Cape Town, at the Royal Albert Hall and at Madison Square Garden in 2005, six full-length live tracks, plus photographs and memorabilia. Together with comments from key music-industry figures, it's one of the most thorough portraits of the band ever assembled.
The second disc is an audio CD: the Swedish Radio Sessions "Konsert med Cream 1967," including five previously unreleased tracks from that year. For Cream collectors and fans of 1960s rock, this Limited Edition set pairs the definitive documentary with rare live audio in one package.
