The Bob Wilber Big Band plays a selection of Ellington favourites (“Black & Tan Fantasy”, “Take The ‘A’ Train”, “Mood Indigo” and more) live at the Royal Festival Hall, London, England, on January 23, 1989.

Duke Ellington, one of the greatest jazz composers, wrote the "Queen's Suite" after a private audience with Queen Elizabeth in London (1957). Initially, this composition remained exclusively in the royal house and was not accessible to the public. Criticism was heard as some of these wonderful compositions from the "Queen's Suite" were highly praised - especially by Derek Jewell (Ellington biographer). Finally, on January 23, 1989, Ellington's "Queen's Suite" was presented to the public for the first time in the Royal Festival Hall in London (UK). The royal house was present as guests. The great saxophonist, Bob Wilber, who already received a GRAMMY in 1985 (he played Duke Ellington's music in the Francis Ford Coppola film "The Cotton Club", played together with a 16-piece orchestra. The original version of the "Queen's Suite" was 30 minutes in total. This DVD also includes some beautiful songs sung by the two jazz singers Adelaide Hall and Joanne Horton.
