Les Rivières pourpres 2 : Les Anges de l'apocalypse est un film franco-italo-britannique réalisé par Olivier Dahan, sorti en 2004. Il fait suite au film Les Rivières pourpres de Mathieu Kassovitz, lui-même adapté d'un roman de Jean-Christophe Grangé.

Par une sombre nuit d'orage en Lorraine, un nouveau frère vient s'installer au monastère montaniste local. Malgré les protestations du père supérieur, il choisit pour chambre la cellule 13 du monastère, habituellement non utilisée par superstition mais alors qu'il cloue son crucifix au mur, du sang en sort et vient souiller l'objet de culte.

Dès le lendemain, le commissaire Niemans - récemment revenu de sa mission dans les Alpes - ainsi qu'une équipe de la police scientifique débarquent au monastère. Ils mettent au jour un cadavre effectivement emmuré derrière le mur de la cellule 13. L'identification de la victime oriente vite Niemans vers une petite communauté de croyants de la région, anciens propriétaires du monastère montaniste, et dont les membres se sont éparpillés, ou ont disparu.

Crimson Rivers II: Angels of the Apocalypse, known as Les Rivières pourpres II: Les anges de l'apocalypse in the French release, is a 2004 action thriller film movie starring Jean Reno, Benoit Magimel and Christopher Lee. It is directed by Olivier Dahan and produced by Ilan Goldman. The movie is the sequel to the 2000 film, The Crimson Rivers, also known as Les Rivières pourpres in the French release. The movie is inspired by the book Les rivières pourpres by writer Jean-Christophe Grangé.

After a body is found in the walls of a French monastery, Commissaire Niemans, played by Jean Reno, teams up with Detective Reda, played by Benoit Magimel, who is already investigating a murder of his own. As with the first movie, the pair's investigations intertwine and soon they are looking at a giant conspiracy involving a secretive group of monks on amphetamines led by Heinrich von Garten, played by Christopher Lee, searching for a treasure hidden by King Lothair II somewhere near the Maginot Line. Reno and Magimel are joined by a religious specialist called Marie, played by Camille Natta.
