This is Beatrice doing what Beatrice does best — loud, unapologetic, and entirely in their element. The 30-year anniversary concert at PeCsa on 18 October 2008 brought together the core lineup with a small army of guest musicians for a 105-minute career retrospective. This particular copy is signed across the front cover by band members, turning a strong concert release into something genuinely collectible.

Nagy Feró fronts the band as always, backed by Hirleman Bertalan on drums and keys, Laczik Fecó on bass, Magasvári Viktor and Vedres Joe on guitars. Twenty-one tracks deep, the set runs from "Psalmus Hungaricus" and "Amerika Hamburgere" through fan-favorites like "Nagyvárosi Farkas," "XX. Század," "Pancsoló Kislány" and the closing "Azok a Boldog Szép Napok."

The PeCsa venue itself — the open-air rock hall in Budapest's Városliget — was practically a second home to Hungarian rock through the 2000s, and it shows in the energy here. Interesting Facts

Beatrice was founded by frontman Nagy Feró in 1978 and quickly became one of the most controversial and beloved rock acts in Hungary. During the communist era, the band's confrontational lyrics and punk-inflected sound made them frequent targets of state censorship — they were officially banned for years, performing underground and developing an almost mythic status among Hungarian youth.

Songs like "Nyolc Óra Munka" (Eight Hours of Work) and "Kommunista Blokk" became anthems of quiet rebellion. After the political transition in 1989, Beatrice re-emerged as elder statesmen of Hungarian rock, with Nagy Feró eventually becoming a celebrated public figure and cultural commentator.

The PeCsa (Petőfi Csarnok) where this anniversary show was recorded was demolished in 2015, making this DVD a document of a venue that no longer exists. The track "Pancsoló Kislány" is one of Beatrice's most recognized covers, originally a hit by Aradszky László, transformed by the band into a rock standard.

A Beatrice-t Nagy Feró énekes alapította 1978-ban, és gyorsan Magyarország egyik legellentmondásosabb és legkedveltebb rockzenekarává vált. A kommunista korszakban a zenekar konfrontatív szövegei és punkos hangzása miatt gyakran lett az állami cenzúra célpontja — éveken át hivatalosan be voltak tiltva, földalatti koncerteken léptek fel, szinte mitikus státuszt szerezve a magyar fiatalság körében.

Olyan dalok, mint a "Nyolc Óra Munka" és a "Kommunista Blokk" a csendes lázadás himnuszaivá váltak. Az 1989-es rendszerváltás után a Beatrice a magyar rock idősebb államférfiaiként tért vissza, Nagy Feró pedig idővel ünnepelt közéleti személyiség és kulturális kommentátor lett.

A PeCsa-t (Petőfi Csarnokot), ahol ezt a jubileumi koncertet rögzítették, 2015-ben lebontották, így ez a DVD egy már nem létező helyszínt dokumentál. A "Pancsoló Kislány" a Beatrice egyik legismertebb feldolgozása, eredetileg Aradszky László slágere, amelyet a zenekar rockstandarddá formált.
