Overview
Hot Sauce Committee Part Two was the Beastie Boys' final studio album, released in 2011 — and a return to the loose, funky, sample-and-shout energy of their classic work. After Adam Yauch's cancer diagnosis delayed the project, the trio reshaped it into this record, and it crackles with the chemistry that made them legends.
The singles say it all: "Make Some Noise" is vintage three-MC interplay, "Too Many Rappers" brings Nas aboard, and "Don't Play No Game That I Can't Win" pairs them with Santigold for one of the album's most infectious cuts. Around them sit instrumentals and grooves that nod back to Paul's Boutique and Check Your Head.
