The purpose of the book is to provide the reader with a brief survey of some of the historical and cultural information found in the Christian Scriptures.

The first section is a simple history of the Bible, its origins, divisions, and very briefly, some content.

IN ADDITION: there is a brief summary of how the Scriptures came to the Philippines and a list of some of the many cultural communities that now have at least the New Testament.
