Emmanuel Zafar, a veteran Christian politician formerly (Parliamentarian) a Christian Member of National Assembly of Pakistan was elected from All Pakistan Multi-membership Constituency by the Christian voters in General] Elections, 1985. He was
born on 9th October 1939 in the walled-city of Lahore. He did his law graduation from the University Law College, Lahore and started his legal profession in August 1964. He practically indulged in politics in 1968. He has participated in all the Christian Movements since 1969, Emmanuel Zafar is one of the famous law book authors of Pakistan. His books carry authenticity in the Apex Courts of Pakistan and many books are prescribed in the L.L.B and L.LM Classes in the different Universities of Pakistan. He has been contributing in journalism by publishing two Monthly International Magazines 'The Minorities' View’ (English) and 'Humsookhan' (Urdu) (focussing the problems of the religious minorities) simultaneously published from Pakistan and United Kingdom.

Emmanuel Zafar, having 43 years legal practice and constantly 38 years political career thus his book is not only the history of Pakistani Christians but also can be called the autobiography or ‘memoirs of the author as well’.
