Promise Me This (Serbian: Zavet, Hungarian: Az ígéret szép szó) is a compelling film written and directed by the acclaimed Serbian filmmaker Emir Kusturica. The film premiered at the 60th annual Cannes Film Festival on May 26, 2007. It presents a rich narrative filled with humor, love, and the complexities of family ties.

Set in the picturesque Zlatibor District, the story follows an elderly man, Živojin Marković (played by Aleksandar Berček), who resides in a remote village. He prays for his grandson, Tsane (Uroš Milovanović), to venture into the city of Užice, sell their cow, and return with a wife. Tsane is supposed to meet his grandfather's stepbrother in the city, but he discovers that this man has passed away. Instead, he encounters the stepbrother's two grandsons, who, while being good-natured, are also small-time criminals and demolition experts.

As Tsane bonds with these brothers, he falls in love with a schoolgirl named Jasna (played by Marija Petronijević), whom he intends to marry as part of his grandfather's testament. The testament includes not only bringing back a wife but also an icon and a souvenir purchased with the money from selling the cow. Tsane becomes embroiled in Jasna's family troubles, rescuing her and her mother from a life of prostitution and gangsters led by a man named Bajo (Miki Manojlović). The new group returns to the small village just in time to celebrate Živojin's wedding to his neighbor, culminating in a double wedding despite the gangsters' attempts to disrupt the festivities.

Cannes-i Filmfesztiválon zajlott 2007. május 26-án. Gazdag narratívát kínál humorral, szerelemmel és a családi kötelékek összetettségével.

A festői Zlatibor kerületben játszódik a történet, amely Živojin Marković ( Aleksandar Berček ) nevű idős férfit követ, aki egy távoli faluban él. Filmskom festivalu u Kanu 26. maja 2007. godine. Prikazuje bogatu naraciju ispunjenu humorom, ljubavlju i složenostima porodičnih veza.

Radnja filma dešava se u slikovitoj oblasti Zlatibora, a priča prati starijeg čoveka, Živojina Markovića (koga tumači Aleksandar Berček), koji živi u udaljenom selu. On se moli za svog unuka, Tšanea (Uroš Milovanović), da ode u grad Užice, proda njihovog vola i vrati se sa ženom. Tšane treba da se sastane sa ujakovim rođakom u gradu, ali otkriva da je ovaj čovek preminuo. Umesto toga, susreće dvojicu rođaka koji, iako su dobroćudni, takođe su sitni kriminalci i eksperti za demoliranje.
