Overview

Band Profile
Procol Harum formed in 1967 with Gary Brooker on vocals and piano, Keith Reid as lyricist, and Matthew Fisher on Hammond organ, among others. Their debut single “A Whiter Shade of Pale” quickly became a global hit and a defining track of the symphonic rock genre. The band re-formed in 1991 and continued to perform and record, blending rock with classical influences and poetic lyrics.
