Seven Pieces for Keyboards, Bass Guitar and Drums is a vital archival rescue of one of Hungary's most sophisticated yet under-recorded progressive rock trios: V’73. Formed in early 1973 by three jazz conservatory students—István Lerch (keyboards), József Sáfár (bass), and Sándor Herpai (drums)—the band was the only trio on the Hungarian prog scene, inspired by the likes of Emerson, Lake & Palmer.

Despite their immense talent and popularity at university clubs and the first Hungarian rock festival in Miskolc, V’73 never received the media attention they deserved during their active years. This LP finally brings together their masterful instrumental compositions and classical music adaptations (including Tchaikovsky and Weiner) recorded between 1973 and 1976. After the band's dissolution in 1977, members went on to form the massive pop-rock success V'Moto-Rock and the hard rock staple P. Box.

A triót 1973-ban alapította három konzervatóriumi hallgató: Lerch István, Sáfár József és Herpai Sándor. Ők voltak a hazai szcéna egyetlen progresszív triója, akik az Emerson, Lake & Palmer nyomdokain haladva ötvözték a rockot a klasszikus zenével.

Bár a közönség körében rendkívül népszerűek voltak, a korabeli média alig vett róluk tudomást, így nagylemezük sosem jelenhetett meg – egészen mostanáig.
