Overview

Val (Kevin Bacon) and Earl (Fred Ward) are two handymen working in the isolated town of Perfection, Nevada, just as they decide to leave for good, mysterious underground tremors force them to stay. Along with Rhonda (Finn Carter), a seismology student, they discover that the town is being hunted by giant, prehistoric, man-eating worms that move lightning-fast through the earth. These creatures, eventually known as "Graboids," can only be avoided by staying on rocky ground or rooftops. With no phone or radio contact to the outside world, the residents must use their ingenuity and whatever weapons they have—including the impressive arsenal of survivalists Burt and Heather Gummer—to fight back against these relentless predators.
