Overview

Directed by action veteran Tony Scott (Top Gun, Enemy of the State), The Taking of Pelham 123 (Hajsza a föld alatt) is a high-octane remake of the 1974 classic. Denzel Washington stars as Walter Garber, a New York City subway dispatcher whose ordinary day is thrown into chaos when a criminal mastermind named Ryder (John Travolta) hijacks a subway train. Ryder threatens to execute the passengers unless a massive ransom is paid within one hour. As the tension rises, Garber must use his knowledge of the subway system and his own wits to outmaneuver Ryder and save the hostages in a pulse-pounding race against time.
