This 2007 Editio Musica Budapest (EMB) edition revives Carl Goldmark's Three Pieces for piano duet, Op. 12, a collection of undeservedly neglected Romantic gems. Meticulously edited by Dévai Tibor, this publication is a virtual novelty as only one (old) edition of these pieces previously existed. The original composer’s manuscript is preserved in the Széchényi Library in Budapest.
Carl Goldmark (1830–1915), though famous for his opera The Queen of Sheba, saw many of his piano and chamber works fall into obscurity.
