A szerző rámutat, hogy amikor a „népszuverenitásról”, a demokráciába vetett „hitről”, az emberi jogok „örök” elveiről beszélünk, vagy a nemzeti himnuszokat énekeljük, valójában teológiai fogalmak politikai formáit használjuk.
