Overview
Beginners (Kezdők) is an imaginative and emotionally resonant exploration of love, loss, and the surprises of a fresh start. The story follows Oliver (Ewan McGregor), a graphic designer struggling with loneliness after the death of his father, Hal (Christopher Plummer). Memories of Hal flood back, particularly his vibrant final years: after 44 years of marriage and the death of his wife, Hal came out as gay at age 75 to live a full, energized life. Inspired by his father’s bravery and humor, Oliver pursues a romance with the unpredictable Anna (Mélanie Laurent), learning that when it comes to long-lasting love, he is just a beginner himself.
