Overview

Based on the events processed and celebrated in Fejes Endre’s acclaimed novels from 1921–1965, this second DVD edition of Jó estét, Nyár, Jó estét, Szerelem! brings to life a dramatic tale set in Budapest during the mid-1960s to 1970s. The story follows a deceptive Greek diplomat—initially known for wooing the city’s young women with promises of marriage—whose true identity is shockingly revealed to be that of a psychopathic, unassuming factory worker. Over the years, he has amassed a modest fortune solely to indulge in a few days of opulent living among the elite. His carefully constructed facade begins to crumble when, during a Balaton-part outing, he falls passionately in love with the stunning Karácsony Zsuzsanna, leading to a fateful confrontation that turns his seduction into tragedy.
