A Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC) és a Nemzeti Emlékezet Bizottsága közös kiadásában megjelent 2020-as kötet célja, hogy bemutassa azokat az embereket, akik a nácizmus és a kommunizmus elnyomásával szemben is megőrizték emberi méltóságukat.

A könyv lapjain embermentők, ellenállók, papok, politikusok, értelmiségiek és 1956-os forradalmárok történetei bontakoznak ki – a Kárpát-medence minden részéről: Magyarországról, Erdélyből, Kárpátaljáról, a Felvidékről és a Délvidékről.
