Overview
In this vibrant reimagining of the 1984 classic, city boy Ren MacCormack (Kenny Wormald) moves from Boston to the small Southern town of Bomont. He quickly experiences a massive culture shock when he discovers that the town, led by the influential Reverend Shaw Moore (Dennis Quaid), has banned loud music and dancing following a tragic accident. Ren refuses to sit still, challenging the local laws and falling for the Reverend's rebellious daughter, Ariel (Julianne Hough). With rhythm in his soul, Ren fights to revitalize the town and remind everyone that dancing is not a crime—it’s a celebration of life.
