Overview

English: Boiler Room is a high-stakes, adrenaline-fueled look at the dark side of the American Dream. Seth Davis (Giovanni Ribisi), a college dropout who runs an illegal casino out of his apartment, joins a small stock brokerage firm in hopes of earning his father's respect and making quick millions. Mentored by aggressive senior brokers like Chris Varick (Vin Diesel), Seth quickly excels at the art of the "hard sell." However, he soon discovers that the firm, J.T. Marlin, is a "boiler room" involved in a massive "pump and dump" scheme. As the FBI closes in, Seth must decide where his loyalties lie. Ben Affleck delivers a standout performance as the firm's ruthless recruiter.
