English The project was the culmination of three years of collaboration between Beth Hart, Joe Bonamassa, and producer Kevin Shirley. The goal was to recreate the "magic and love" of a live recording without the safety net of modern digital manipulation. The concert features horn arrangements by Lee Thornburg and was mixed at "The Cave" in Malibu, California. Joe Bonamassa noted that in an era of "pyro explosions" and computer-aided vocals, this concert represents the "exact opposite"—pure, raw performance in front of a wonderful audience.
