Overview
"As Time Goes By: Series 2" continues the touching and humorous story of Jean, a student nurse, and Lionel, a young army officer, who first met and fell in love in the early 1950s. Thirty-eight years later, their lives intersect once more. Older and wiser, they discover that though love adopts a slower pace and new priorities, the warmth of old flames can still be reignited. This series explores the challenges faced by a fledgling relationship, including awkward photo shoots, sniggering colleagues, and eccentric relatives, all of which test but ultimately strengthen Jean and Lionel’s bond. This DVD includes all seven episodes of Series 2, starring Dame Judi Dench and Geoffrey Palmer, written by Bob Larbey and based on an original concept by Colin Bostock-Smith.
