Overview
In the bustling city of Baghdad, the Grand Vizier Iznogoud (Michaël Youn) has only one burning desire: "to be Caliph instead of the Caliph". Assisted by his loyal but somewhat slow-witted henchman, Dilat Laraht (Arno Chevrier), Iznogoud devises an endless series of elaborate and often magical schemes to overthrow the good-natured and unsuspecting Caliph Haroun El Poussah (Jacques Villeret). From magic carpets to genies with unpredictable powers, no plan is too devious for the short-tempered Vizier, though his attempts invariably backfire in spectacular and hilarious ways.
