Overview

English: Set during the Great Depression, Road to Perdition tells the haunting story of Michael Sullivan (Tom Hanks), a loyal enforcer for Irish mob boss John Rooney (Paul Newman). Sullivan’s life is split between his roles as a devoted father and a cold-blooded assassin. When his eldest son witnesses a brutal gangland execution, the boundaries between Sullivan's two worlds vanish. Marked for death by the very organization he served, Sullivan and his son embark on a journey of revenge and redemption across a rain-soaked Midwest, pursued by a terrifyingly meticulous hitman (Jude Law). This visually stunning masterpiece explores the complex bond between fathers and sons.
