An unprecedented work, developed by the Sociedade Bíblica do Brasil (SBB), is being eagerly awaited. This is the Chinese-Portuguese New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs, which brings together, in an exquisite edition, two of the most spoken languages in the world. Published in conjunction with the Hong Kong Bible Society, this publication uses the two translations most appreciated by the populations of China and Brazil: Revised Chinese Union Version (RCUV) – in Mandarin with simplified writing – and Almeida Revista e Atualizada (RA), respectively. Each of the translations, presented side by side, was made from the original texts and faithfully reflects the biblical message. The work can be considered a symbol of the union of these two countries, in addition to pointing to the importance of the two languages on the international scene: Portuguese, dominant among around 250 million people, occupies 6th position in the ranking of the most spoken languages in the world ; and Mandarin, which is used by more than 1.3 billion people, and is the most spoken language on the planet.

Trata-se do Novo Testamento, Salmos e Provérbios Chinês-Português, que reúne, numa edição primorosa, dois dos idiomas mais falados em todo o mundo. Editada em conjunto com a Sociedade Bíblica de Hong Kong, esta publicação utiliza as duas traduções mais apreciadas pelas populações da China e do Brasil: Revised Chinese Union Version (RCUV) – em mandarim com escrita simplificada – e Almeida Revista e Atualizada (RA), respectivamente. Cada uma das traduções, apresentadas lado a lado, foi feita a partir dos textos originais e reflete fielmente a mensagem bíblica.
