A kis faluban játszódó történetben a riporter megpróbál utánajárni egy 1956-ban elkövetett gyilkosságnak. Az emberekkel beszélgetve, az ott töltött húsz óra alatt feltárul előtte a falu élete: a csendes felszín alatt feszülő ellentétek, a kibékíthetetlen gyűlölködések, ám a békés, normális élet lehetősége is. Ezt a perspektívát elsősorban az elnök felfogása, humanizmusa képviseli.

Vingt heures (titre original : Húsz óra) est un film hongrois réalisé en 1964 et sorti en 1965. Inspiré du roman de Ferenc Sánta, il a été réalisé par Zoltán Fábri.

Un journaliste arrive dans un village hongrois pour enquêter sur un meurtre commis cinq ans plus tôt. En effet, Kocsis, fut tué par un de ses compagnons de la première heure, Sándor Varga, ancien secrétaire local du parti au pouvoir... Un raccourci saisissant sur l'histoire de la Hongrie rurale de 1945 à 1956.

 

English Summary:

Twenty Hours (Hungarian: Húsz óra) is a 1965 Hungarian drama film directed by Zoltán Fábri. The film was selected as the Hungarian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 38th Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee. The film shared the Grand Prix with War and Peace and won the Prix FIPRESCI at the 4th Moscow International Film Festival.
