Szekeres Tamás vitathatatlanul az egyik legsikeresebb magyar gitáros.
1989-ben Magyarországon úttörő módon -és a mai napig majdhogynem egyedüliként- ő jelentetett meg először instrumentális rockgitár lemezt Guitarmania címmel, majd az általa képviselt műfajt külföldön is sikerrel népszerűsítette, a világ számos országában jelentek meg a lemezei, szerepelt az MTV (Music Television) azóta már megszünt rockzenei műsorában és résztvett európai és tengerentúli turnén is Tony Mc Alpine illetve Ken Tamplin vendégeként.
A Lisz Ferenc Zeneművészeti Főiskola gitár szakán 1991-ben művész-tanár diplomát szerzett zenész egyaránt kiad rock és klasszikus gitár albumokat is, számos projectben vett részt, vendégművészként neves szólistákal és zenekarokkal -a teljesség igénye nélkül: Omen, Omega, Keresztes Ildikó, Deep Purple, Ian Perry...stb- lépett/lép fel. Emellett saját zeneiskolájában tanít is.
