Frozen Vs the Bible

Frozen Vs the Bible.

Disney has had the whole world in its hands since quite a while. And ever since its smash hit movie Frozen back in 2013 it’s had all the children of the world raving over its catch phrase let it go. Disney has been busy having little kids as young as 3 to people as old as 93 singing about something to let go.

It’s only natural to want to let go of something that one regrets or some dream that one couldn’t attain. The list of regrets is long. On the other hand, some things are better off let go. Many millions of parents around the globe encourage their kids and teens to sing this let it go song. Many-a-times they even join the karaoke. It’s good to sing as a family. And it’s important to sing as a family. The only problem is...do people know what they are singing?

This song isn’t the first time Satan has been successful in drawing people in unawares. He has always used this strategy to draw people towards himself like a bug to a light. He knows how to draw people in until they get burnt. In many cases irreparably burnt. People often get burnt in life due to gazillion reasons. One of the reasons why we crash and burn is because we cross the boarders that God has put around us for our safety. And every now and then we cross that line only to regret it. But there used to be a time when we knew that crossing the line was wrong and that there would be consequences if we broke God’s holy standards and boundaries.

Those days are long gone. We now live in a time when parents and children sing together around the fire, on a frozen winter’s night, ....or a scorching summer night depending on where you are at this moment, on how “...it’s time to see what I can do, to test the limits and break through....No right , no wrong, no rules for me. I’m free!” This is what we are teaching our little children to sing. There is no right, no wrong. I’m free? Really??!!

What’s bewildering is that we even buy our kids ‘frozen’ toys to help them never forget the time they swallowed these carcinogens wholesale. Their souls are perpetually scarred by this song. And we even stood by our kids spoon-feeding them with what they shouldn’t have ingested into their delicate souls. All in the name of Disney cartoons. Have we so unwittingly prepared our future generation to even more effectively rebel against God much worse than the revolutions that have happened in the yesteryears? I shudder at that thought.

God has put boundaries in our life to protect us from self-destruction. But, somehow we have allowed ourselves to be convinced that I’m free only if I transgress. Right and wrong have forever become relative terms, and we think we are free to do as we please only to find out at the end that the storm within our souls rages on. Our souls have indeed become Frozen. Satan scores big yet again!

Even a game without rules would be...aimless. God doesn’t want us to be burnt; neither does He want us to live aimlessly in spiritual anarchy. God in His wisdom gave us rules for the game of life. It is good to have aims in life that bring Him glory. His word tells us what is right and what is wrong. His word teaches us to let go of sin and love God. His word tells us that sin is wrong and holiness is right. His word teaches us to discern between Righteousness and wickedness. His word tells me that I’m free only by faith in the blood of Christ. And thank God we have His righteous instructions in our language.
