About The Authors:

Jenő Rejtő (born Jenő Reich 1905, died 1943; pseudonyms: P. Howard, Gibson Lavery) was a Hungarian journalist, pulp fiction writer and playwright who died as a forced labourer during World War II. He was born in Budapest, Austria-Hungary, on March 29, 1905, and died in Evdakovo, Voronezh Oblast, Soviet Union (then under Axis occupation) on January 1, 1943. Despite the "pulp" nature of his writings, he is not only widely read in Hungary, but is also much appreciated by literary critics. It is a prevalent opinion that he lifted the genre to the level of serious art, and his works will long outlive him.

Pál Korcsmáros (Budapest, May 22, 1916 - Budapest, May 24, 1975), Hungarian graphic designer, book illustrator, cartoonist and journalist.

Hungarian Summary:

A Balmoral cirkáló legénységének iszonyú tragédiája: gránát csap a söröshordóba.

English Summary:

The English armored cruiser, Balmoral, is by no means lost. On board, Dirty Fred is the captain, who has taken the ultimate constraint to "cruise" the cruiser to find Captain Tom Leven and his important invention plan by a "limited company" for this purpose. The fact that a real English prince and a pseudo-chief captain arrives at the stolen cruiser is ultimately a coincidence: their ship sinks and, by grace Balmoral, renames itself to the name of a truly lost cruiser. Members of the Company: Rust, Puppy, Headmaster, and Dirty Fred can be accompanied by sea and land roads during the flood of hair-raising adventures and parody humor.
